Having worked primarily as a technical specialist in manufacturing and distribution within the steel, concrete, insulation and render sectors, Richard has developed a wealth of material and design knowledge. Alongside product development, testing and certification, he has a broad understanding of how materials interact and behave in a construction environment.
Richard has previously held management roles with full responsibility for technical management of Parex, Enewall and Bostik render and insulated render systems. He has developed a wide understanding of new and existing structures and the application of façade systems. This extends to other external envelope works such as rainscreen, granite and ceramic cladding, as well as curtain walling.
He’s well versed in the training and monitoring of installers and applicators of render and insulated render systems, extending to forensic intrusive investigative works to understand problems and develop bespoke solutions.
Richard has consulted on a wide range of projects across the UK, including Wembley Stadium for the Football Association, T5 airport construction for British Transport Authority and new build housing developments for Persimmon and Barratt Homes.
